Prior to the summer break we notified you that HBS is now also acting as a Peppol Service Metadata Publisher (SMP) in our capacity as a service provider that operates on an international scale, putting us in a leading position on the German-speaking market.
The enormous number of enquiries we received from international suppliers – including those not operating in the health industry – clearly indicates that the path we have started to pursue as a certified Peppol provider is leading us to success.
Today, we are proud to report that we have successfully completed our first Peppol project as commissioned by Lohmann & Rauscher GmbH & Co. KG for the Emilia Romagna region in Italy.
Operating as an access point for Emilia Romagna hospitals, Italian provider Intercent-ER has submitted their order data to us electronically; HBS converts this data into the standard format used by Lohmann & Rauscher and, finally, transmits the data to Lohmann & Rauscher.
Lohmann & Rauscher subsequently provides the electronic delivery note in their standard format, which is then converted into the Peppol format agreed upon and returned to Intercent-ER by HBS. Intercent-ER afterwards processes these delivery notes before passing them on to the hospitals.
Lars Strauss (Sales and Marketing – Projects &Processes at Lohmann & Rauscher GmbH & Co. KG) offers the following take on the partnership:
“Front and centre to us as a supplier is the ability to satisfy the requirements of our customers. We value a partnership even more if it allows us to achieve this objective while, at the same time, affording us and the customer streamlined and more cost-effective processes. In HBS we have found an experienced partner who allows us to always implement such processes with utmost efficiency and expertise regardless of the European country where they are needed or the standard that is required.”
We will be happy to assist you if you need additional information about our international strategy and any upcoming projects in which we will be engaged in Europe.
